KCG is seeking Database Manager & Administrators to support our team at the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) Corona Division in Norfolk, VA.

The NCTE Program will provide solutions to the operational challenges that face today’s warfighter as well as the advanced concepts and doctrine that will extend American maritime dominance far into the future.

The NCTE is a global, interconnected network of simulation, training, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems that form a virtual range for experimentation and training involving Navy weapon systems. The NCTE has evolved into a powerful tool for assessing weapon systems, developing concepts for weapon systems employment, and validating such concepts on a distributed basis. It is also a powerful tool for combat system training using embedded and standalone training systems within the framework of Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) and LVC training.

Critical to this mission is the ability to develop real-world weapon system representations based upon existing and future maritime and joint weapons systems, to test and validate these concepts, and to incorporate them into the Navy’s core doctrine and its FST and LVC training capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of prevalent tactical system database structures.
  • Ability to lead data strategy design and implementation, design and execute data migration, and design and implement data analytic approaches.
  • Ability to perform one or more of the following tasks in support of computer database administration: architects, designs, oversees the development of, or administers computerized databases, installs the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, creates databases, configure databases (for a data warehousing application), uses import utilities to install databases.
  • 10+ years of experience in the field of data analytics, database administration, or information systems.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required
