KCG is seeking a Senior Navy Doctrine Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities

Support the development of an Operational Level of War doctrine publication that will provide Navy Component Command/Numbered Fleet Command (NCC/NFC) leaders with considerations that will enable the planning, integration, and coordination of Maritime Fires across all domains to support commanders' objectives. The doctrine analyst will work from NWDC aboard Naval Station Norfolk in the Doctrine section of the N5 directorate (N5D). The work will include review and analysis of various Joint doctrine publications and Navy doctrine and TTP publications along with coordination with NCC/NFC personnel to ultimately develop a Maritime Fires doctrine publication.

The ideal candidate will have Fleet Maritime Operations Center (MOC), Combatant Command, or other military component fires or targeting experience; will have completed MOC or fires/targeting courses of instruction, e.g. MOPC/MSOC, JTS, and/or JOFEC; will have doctrine development experience and commensurate writing skills; and will have experience developing and briefing senior leadership, including Flag/SES leadership.

The doctrine analyst will continue executing an established plan of actions and milestones (POAM) that will culminate with a published Maritime Fires doctrine publication.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years Naval Operational Experience
  • Experience with relevant to the Naval Doctrine Development
  • Experience with relevant to the Surface Warfare areas
  • Superior written and verbal communication
  • Possess U.S. Citizenship
  • Be eligible for Secret or Top Secret Clearance
